Improv
Students engage in the basic skills needed to work collaboratively on stage. This club allows students the time to build performance skills and learn to adapt to unexpected situations. Students have been working with the Upright Citizens Brigade and have showcased their work.
Health Science Research Pathways
The High School Science Research Pathways Club provides 9th and 10th grade students with the opportunity to explore a scientific topic of interest and to get a taste of some of the primary components of science research, including selecting a topic to research, reading scientific literature, and presenting your research at a citywide science symposium.
Coding
Computer coding club at World View High School provides students the opportunity to learn the basics of Javascript computer programming. We use CodeHS.com and Code.org to make projects and learn skills toward app design, game making & software engineering.
3D Printing
Students will learn the ins and outs of using a 3D printer to print three dimensional objects. Students will also learn how to create 3D models in a computer that they can then print.
World Traveler’s
This is one of the newer clubs at World View High School. The club was conceived under the ideals of opening a world of possibilities for our students by exposing them to knowledge acquired outside of the classroom. In order to have a global perspective and to broaden their learning, we cannot just bring the world in our classroom – we take the classroom out to the world. As a club, students receive scholarships and raise funds in order to participate in international field trips. Our first trip as a club took us to famous cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Seville, Granada, and Malaga. The second trip took our students to Montreal and Quebec, Canada. We hope to be going to Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic soon! Prepare your passports!!
